1. Impact Support Membrane/ Blackout Screen

The SportScreen Vanish Series is designed with a rear support membrane/ blackout screen that sits behind the impact screen. This additional layer helps absorb impact from high-speed golf balls, reducing stress on the impact screen and helping prevent premature wear, improves projection quality by blocking out light and reduces noise. This makes it ideal for frequent or high-intensity use.

 

G-Trak, by comparison, lacks a rear support membrane/black out screen, meaning all impact is absorbed directly by the screen. Over time, this can lead to sagging, stretching, or damage—especially in high-use settings. This also means that stray light is not blocked out from behind the impact screen affecting projection quality and overall playing experience. 

2. Side Screens and Ceiling Protection

Vanish Series includes individual side screens, a dedicated ceiling panel and baffles to seal all gaps, fully enclosing the simulator area to protect walls and ceilings from errant shots. This is particularly important for indoor setups or smaller garages where space is tight and to prevent mishits from escpaing the system.

 

G-Trak only uses a border mesh, which provides minimal coverage and does not fully enclose the area. This may be suitable for casual use, but leaves more risk for mishits damaging your space.

When it comes to installation, The SportScreen Vanish Series offers full flexibility with both wall and ceiling mounting options, allowing you to configure it to your space—whether it’s an interior room or a garage.

 

G-Trak, however, requires either use of your garage door rails or an additional wall-mounting kit (sold separately). This limits where it can be installed and adds complexity and cost if your space isn’t already compatible.
