What is the difference between 16 and 16H Vanish Series?

Golf Studios marked with an "H" feature increased height while maintaining the same width as other models. The extra height improves projection ratios, delivering superior image quality.

Do SportScreen Golf Studios allow for both right and left handed players?

Yes, both Vanish Series and Parlour Series enclosures can accommodate left and right handed golfers.

Can I mount a Vanish Series to walls or ceilings?

Vanish Studios can be mounted on either walls or ceilings using the included Versatile Mounting Brackets. Please ensure there is 8"-12" of clearance between the back of the screens and what you’re protecting.

The Vanish Series is compatible with ceiling heights ranging from 108" to 144". For ceiling heights outside this range please contact our team for solutions.

How far off of surfaces does the Vanish Series need to mount?

The Vanish Studio needs to be 8 – 12 inches off the back wall and side screens need to be 6 – 8 inches off of side walls.

How do I get power to my Vanish Series or Vanish LITE golf Studio?

The Vanish Series Golf Studio features a motor power cord that can be mounted on either side of the screen's roller tube. You can connect to a nearby standard 110V power outlet, or opt for a hand crank option if power is unavailable.

The Vanish Series isn't hanging evenly, how can I fix this?

If the Vanish Studio is not hanging evenly, pull on the higher end when the curtain is in the rolled up position, until the curtain is even.

Does The SportScreen sell refurbished units?

No, The SportScreen does not sell refurbished units. All SportScreens are brand new. We do our best to pack boxes tightly however sometimes scratches or dents can occur during shipping. Please contact our team if you have any additional concerns.

How far does the hitter have to be from the enclosure?

The hitting area can vary depending on the placement of your launch monitor and projector. In most setups, you'll be positioned approximately 8 to 12 feet away from the impact screen.

What prevents balls from going between the impact screen and side screen?

The Vanish and Parlour Series golf enclosures include front and side baffles, along with corner pieces that seal all gaps, ensuring no balls can slip through the enclosure.

What are the power requirements and operating limits of the motor?

Our motors operate at 120V ~ 60Hz, with a power rating of 280W / 2.4A. They have a maximum operating time of 4 minutes; if used beyond this, the motor may shut down as a built-in thermal protection mechanism. Please ensure that your outlets and region support this power requirement. If not, a suitable converter or transformer will be needed. Should the motor shut down due to overheating, allow at least 15 minutes for it to cool before resuming operation.

Can I mount the Vanish Series or Vanish LITE on a sloped or vaulted ceiling?

Yes, both systems can be installed in spaces with sloped or vaulted ceilings. The Vanish Series is supplied with adjustable Versatile Mounting Brackets to accommodate varying ceiling heights, and requires level mounting points which may involve building down from the ceiling. The Vanish LITE is a great solution for these spaces, as it only requires two mounting points on a single surface and can be mounted directly to a wall. Both golf studios include Versatile Mounting Brackets for installation. If you’re unsure which solution is best for your space, please contact our team for solutions.

Are power tools required to assembly the Parlour Series?

Power tools are not required for Parlour Studio assembly. Power tools are recommended for a faster setup.

How forgiving are The SportScreen golf enclosures during mishits?

What is the purpose of a blackout screen?

The purpose of a Rear Impact Support Membrane or Blackout Screen are the following:

  • Helps take away from impact screen wear
  • Improves projection quality by keeping projection dark
  • Ball bounce back is reduced
  • Seam protection - prevents balls from slipping behind enclosure

*Please note that Rear Impact Support Membranes or Blackout Screens wear faster than Impact Screens as they help absorb shots and reduce Impact Screen wear.

Can I install a SportScreen Golf Studio in a unique space?

Depending on how “unique” the design is, The SportScreen Golf Studio may still be able to be installed. We have options to customize units based on length and height. We also have options to purchase mounting brackets to mount The Vanish Series over surfaces that need clearance such as garage rails. The Parlour series is freestanding so offers more flexibility for moving it around when it comes to unique spaces. Send an inquiry to our team of experts to find your custom fit or contact us at 1-855-727-3360 if you have any questions.

The side curtains are hybrid-retractable and slide along a track system, allowing them to be easily pulled back and pinned when not in use. This allows for built in baffling and corner pieces and makes setup and storing away seamless and convenient.

Can I attach a Golf Impact Screen to my SportScreen retractable screen?
